Pressure Reduction Stations

The purpose of a Pressure Reduction Station is to knock down the high pressure mainline into a pressure that can be handled by a distribution system. The unit shown here has an 8" inlet and upsizes to 10" and is used with 4" regulators.  The unit knocks the pressure down from an inlet pressure of 540 – 905 psig to an outlet pressure of 120 psig with a flow between 700 – 1,500 mcfh. The unit has dual meter runs to provide redundant protection when the strainer has to be changed or if anything were to happen to the regulators. This is just one example of a custom configuration. Lyall specializes in building to specific customer requirements, the results being a plug and play unit that has been fully tested and is ready for service upon delivery.
